Our Approach

Every young person is different. The way we support them should be too.

SCI combines trusted relationships, structured intervention and physical activity to create a safe and consistent environment where young people can engage, develop and make positive progress.

HOW WE WORK

Relationships
First

Positive change starts with trust.
We provide consistent, relationship-based support that gives young people the time and space to engage at their own pace.

Physical
Activity

Physical activity provides a practical way to engage, build relationships and experience achievment. Sessios can support confidence, resilience, emotional regulation and positive routines.

Safe &
Consistent

Clear boundaries, structure and consistency help young people know what to expect.
Our work is informed by trauma-aware principles and delivered with safeguarding at its core.

Restorative Practice

We encourage young people to reflect on their experiences and choices, understand their impact and develop more positive ways to respond and move forward.

Intervention is Built Around the Individual

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to intervention.

Support is shaped around the young person's needs, circumstances, strengths and agreed outcomes.

Sessions may combine physical activity, mentoring, restorative conversations and accredited learning, with the approach adapting as the young person progresses.

The aim is to create opportunites for success while building the skills, confidence and resilience that can transfer beyond the intervention itself.
